Actually, I think Prepar3D is more a CPU based application, but yeah, it makes sense, if your GPU isn't good enough, you won't go anywhere

better go with rtx 2070 or 2080 since it has more cores + higher clock speeds which means you can get a better performance on your graphics.

also don't forget to upgrade your cpu or processor and your ram as well.

I jumped from the 960 2gb to a 1080 8gb with the same processor and the difference was huge (in X-Plane)
