Hi, I finally managed to get my baidu fucking shit working so I thought I might as well share.

Don't bother with Speedpan. It has a cap on download size and forces you to pay. Fuck that.

which is supposedly some cloud thing baidu runs. I think of it as google cloud, wobuzhidao.

Just follow what it says, enter your phone number with your country code and you should get a verification code after pressing send dynamic password.

After this, IIRC, There'll be a weird ass page. Just fill in the blanks as ShinyMarusu said. The first field is your name, despite google translating it to "Contact". The last few are the reasons for using the baidu cloud I think?I just filled it with "other", doesn't and shouldn't matter. The most important still is your email address.

After that refresh to [color=var(--newCommunityTheme-linkText)]https://passport.baidu.com/ No idea how I found this page. Don't bother dealing with Baidu cloud's account system. I tried and it doesn't fucking work. The email verification never came to me.

Clicking on the 2nd tab(red circle):

First one is to confirm your phone number/changing password with your phone number

2nd one is to bind your email account.

Last one for 2fa with either email/phone number. Just google translate it yourself.

Clicking on the 3rd tab(purple circle):

This to change your account's password. Google translate as usual.

I tried logging in with the pan baidu's client and viola! Just using my verified email and password. The mobile number thing doesn't seem to work for me. Don't ask me what I'm downloading

Hope it helped and er tell me if it works for you or something. Give more tips and stuff pls cause this shit took me 3h. And a day of tilting. There just isn't enough non hassle/chinese guides out there.

I tried registering from the baidu's like official international registration site or something: passport.baidu.com/v2/?reg&overseas=1



Fuck that. It told me this:

系统检测到当前帐号通过非法渠道注册，为了您的帐号安全，请使用正规渠道注册

Translating to this:

The system detects that the current account is registered through an illegal channel. For your account security, please use the formal channel to register.



Fuck you I ain't using no VPN whatsoever. Hope it helped anyways.
